Samuel Bark enters enemy territory at OKTAGON 82 with a clear message: his opponent Zafar Mohsen deserves no respect, only a finish.

Things are heating up between Samuel Bark and Zafar Mohsen.

When the Swedish MMA talent steps into the cage in Düsseldorf on January 17, it won’t just be another bout on his already impressive fight record.

For ”Sammon Decker,” it’s all about making a statement, setting the tone for 2026, and taking his rightful place at the very top of the featherweight division.

After his most recent victory against former OKTAGON champion Mate Sanikidze in November, Samuel Bark has stayed busy in the gym, working on becoming more difficult to neutralize in the cage.

His opponents know that he is a dangerous striker, which he says gets him stuck in grappling-heavy matches.

”I’ve been working hard to offer the fans more exciting fights,” he says. ”It really sucks that my opponents are just trying to keep me against the cage and slow down everything.”

Bark is currently on a five-fight winning streak and is approaching the very top of OKTAGON’s featherweight ranking.

He believes he is only one impressive win away from a title bout, and that Mohsen will be the one to pay the price.

The talented Swede sees the OKTAGON 82 bout as an opportunity to take another step toward the top and set things straight.

Mohsen has an impressive record and several titles, but is also coming off a doping suspension. For Samuel Bark, this changes his entire view of the German prospect.

”I have no respect for him. He’s a snake who cheats and take shortcuts. That’s not something I can respect.”

OKTAGON 82: Samuel Bark vs Zafar Mohsen

If Samuel Bark had his way, he would compete once a month, and he makes no secret of his frustration at having to wait several months to compete again.

His focus is now on finishing Zafar Mohsen, showing the full scope of his abilities, and using the win to propel his career forward.

He has his sights set on the OKTAGON featherweight title, which will soon have a new owner.

”I’m going to end this snake and then take on the winner of Samsonidze vs. Machaev, who are fighting for the belt on January 31st.”

”Or I’ll put on a really good fight and really show what I’m capable of and get straight into the UFC. There’s always a way, but I have to perform really well.”

Samuel Bark describes his future as one with no room for anything but fighting. He says he either wants frequent fights outside the UFC, or a direct ticket into the world’s largest organization. That’s it.

Fighting frequently is something he constantly brings up. He believes that he should be fighting all the time, and that that kind of lifestyle brings out the best in him, both physically and mentally.

Samuel Bark has two wins in OKTAGON, and is aiming for gold in 2026.

Who stands on the other side of the cage matters less, as long as he gets to compete like he once did as a Muay Thai fighter, sometimes several times a month.

”I perform and am at my best when I get to fight all the time. I’ll face anyone, as long as I get someone I can show my skills on.”

When it comes to how the match against Mohsen will end, there is no doubt. Bark does not expect to leave anything to the judges.

”It will be a spectacular knockout or some other really aggressive, dominant finish.”

For Samuel Bark, OKTAGON 82 is a chance to return to the place he loves most, and prove that he is one of the world’s best featherweights.
