Fury blames judges for loss: ”Some people are siding with the country at war”

Tyson Fury took his career-first loss in the ring at last night’s massive heavyweight boxing showdown in Saudi Arabia. After 12 rounds of action, where the Englishman was close to getting knocked out in round 9, Usyk stood as the winner via split decision.

Fury maintained his belief that he won the bout and claims the judges gave the win to Usyk due to Russia’s invasion of Usyk’s native Ukraine.

”I believe I won that fight,” Fury said. ”I believe he won a few of the rounds, but I won a majority of them. I believe it was, what can you do, one of the decisions in boxing. We both put on a great fight, best we could do. And you know, his country is at war, some people are siding with the country at war. Make no mistake, I won that fight in my opinion, and I’ll be back. I got a rematch clause.”

Tyson Fury wants rematch

Usyk won the fight with 115-112, 113-114 and 114-113 on the scorecards and claimed that he was willing to give Fury an immediate rematch.

”Yes, of course,” Usyk said about a second fight against Fury. ”If he wants, I’m ready for a rematch.”
