Liam Pitts reveals exciting plan for 2024: ”I think what’s next for me …”

Swedish National Team fighter and undefeated prospect Liam Pitts’ career is going according to the plans. Only five fights into his amateur career, Pitts is one of the most hyped fighters in Sweden, pro or amateur.

On December 30, he took his fifth win as he defeated three-time Finnish champion Rasmus Vauhkonen to win the inaugural AFN amateur bantamweight title. Now, he wants a little more international experience before becoming a professional MMA fighter.

”I think what’s next for me is an international competition like the European Championships,” Pitts said in a post-fight interview with AFN.

When asked about turning pro, the undefeated prospect was fairly sure it will happen in 2024.

”After European (Championships) I think.”

Liam Pitts: ”It’s like I’m in a dream”

Before the title fight at Allstars Fight Night 4, Liam Pitts represented Sweden in the 2023 MMA World Championships in Albania and competed at both AFN and Fight Club Rush.

Even though Vauhkonen was on paper his hardest opponent to date, the young Swedish prospect had no problem finishing the fight in the first round.

”The crazy thing is that I predicted the finish would end like this. It’s kind of weird, it’s like I’m in a dream, it was exactly the same as I thought,” Pitts said.
