The former two-division UFC champion Conor McGregor recently announced his long-awaited return to action. He’s claiming that his comeback bout will be against former Bellator champion Michael Chandler and will take place next summer. The UFC has so far not publicly commented on that proposal.
This is what we know about the fight so far:
Date: June 29
Opponent: Michael Chandler
Location: Las Vegas
Weight class: Middleweight (185 lbs)
If the fight takes place, and McGregor wins, he will have victories in four different weight classes in UFC. He started his promotional run as a featherweight and moved up to win the title in lightweight but also fought as a welterweight.
If the Irish superstar would defeat Chandler by knockout, he will be the first UFC fighter to have KO-wins in four different weight divisions.
