Fight Club Rush will crown a new bantamweight champion in February.
The promotion recently stripped Bernardo Sopai of the title, but on FCR 19 in Stockholm, Finland’s Tuomas ”The Tank Engine” Grönvall (11-5-1) will clash with Spanish fan favorite Hecher Sosa (7-1) for the vacant belt.
Veteran Grönvall is an experienced fighter with wins against Renato Vidovi and Luca Iovine.
Sosa is a three-time Spanish MMA champion and is a popular fighter in FCR. He has a 4-1 promotional record. He’s currently riding a four-fight winning streak and defeated athletes like Bilal Tipsaev and reigning flyweight champ Jonny Touma.
FCR 19 will take place on February 24 at Quality Hotel in Stockholm. The event is the promotion’s third in the Swedish capital.
The event features Stockholm fan favorite Nabbe Malki (2-1) who returns to action against undefeated pro fighter Mika Kallio (2-0). Malki comes from a fast knockout win against Maycon James at FCR 17 in Uppsala this past September.
At the moment the fight card looks like following*:
Bantamweigh title bout: Tuomas Grönvall vs. Hecher Sosa
Welterweight bout: Nabbe Malki vs. Mika Kallio
Featherweight bout: Wasi Adeshina vs. Luka Giorgadze
Featherweight bout: Raymond Johansson vs. Waltteri Häkkinen
