The stacked boxing card ABP Fight Night 9 just took place in Malmö, Sweden.
In the headliner, Swedish super flyweight WBA intercontinental champion Linn Sandström took on Johana Zuniga in a ten-round title bout.
As the taller boxer, Linn worked with her jab in the first round, but the Venezuelan landed hard shots of her own. However, in the second round, Sandström suffered a bad cut in the hairline as the two fighters clashed heads.
The fight was then stopped by the referee and declared a technical draw. The result means that Sandström is still the champion.
“Thank you so much for coming out tonight. Thank you so much for the support,” Sandström said after the fight.
In the co-main event, the Swedish Champion title was on the line when cruiserweight rivals Samo Jangirov and Goran Babic clashed. After eight even and tough rounds, the fight ended as a split draw with 78-75, 75-77 and 76-76 on the scorecards.
“We can do it against Jangirov,” said after the fight.
Costas Nanga is still undefeated
The card also featured undefeated prospect Costas Nanga who took his ninth pro win as he defeated Michal Loniewski via TKO after the first round.
In the main card opener Anthony Yigit gave it all in a very exciting and tough four-round fight with Jacob Quinn. The Swede eventually won the bout via unanimous decision.
