On May 6, Swedish MMA promotion Superior Challenge returns to Annexet in Stockholm with a new event.
So far, no fights are announced, however, the new welterweight champion Andreas Ståhl recently told Frontkick he intends to defend his title at the event.
The promotion’s last event on December 10 was historic as the first MMA event being broadcasted on major Swedish TV channel TV6.
In the main event, Stockholm’s Bartosz Wojcikiewicz defeated Carlos Abreu Souza via unanimous decision. Most of the fight took place on the mat where the hometown hero controlled his Brazilian opponent and landed heavy ground-and-pound.
In the co-main event, Andreas Ståhl finished Paulo Silva via a second-round TKO to win the promotion’s vacant welterweight title.
