Former flyweight title challenger Jennifer Maia just clashed with rising star Casey O’Neill at UFC 286.
The first round started at a high pace with slick striking from Maia. The Brazilian landed good boxing combinations and used her footwork well.
In round two, O’Neill pressed forward but Maia continued landing solid combinations.
In the third and final round, The Brazilian moved as well as in the first round, as she landed good punches. O’Neill found more success on the feet, but could not do enough to turn the fight around.
After the final bell, the all three judges gave Maia the win via unanimous decision with 30-27, 29-28, 29-28 on the scorecards.
