Noche UFC will take place on September 16 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas and is set to celebrate the Mexican independence day.
In the main event, flyweight champion Alexa Grasso will make her first title defense as she takes on former champ Valentina Shevchenko in a highly anticipated rematch. Grasso defeated Shevchenko at UFC 285 in March via a spectacular fourth round submission.
“Mexican Independence Day means to fight for your dreams,” Grasso told Sports Illustrated. “My goal is to inspire, especially young women. I want to leave a mark and show that, with enough discipline, you can reach your dreams. I’m fighting for my dreams in the main event.”
In the welterweight co-main event we will see the popular Kevin Holland take on Jack Della Maddalena.
Josefine Knutsson makes UFC debut
The card also features Swedish strawweight sensation Josefine “Thunder” Knutsson who will make her promotional debut as she opens up the prelims with a short-notice fight against fellow newcomer Marnic Mann.
Knutsson is undefeated as a professional MMA fighter with a 6-0 record and comes from a dominant win at DWCS a few weeks back. Mann has a 6-1 professional record, with four wins coming via stoppage.
