Undefeated fighter with 100 percent first-round finishing rate makes UFC debut

Undefeated strawweight Jaqueline Amorim inked a deal with the UFC in September and is now set for her promotional debut as she will face Sam Hughes at UFC 287. MMA Ideas first reported the bout.

Before inking a deal with UFC, the 27-year-old Brazilian was the LFA women’s strawweight champion.

After winning the IBJJF, UAEJJF and CBJJ championships, Amorim turned to MMA in 2020 and is undefeated with a record of 6-0, with all wins coming via first-round finishes.

Her opponent, Hughes, is 2-4 in the UFC and comes from a loss against Piera Rodriguez in October.

Current lineup for UFC 287 with Jaqueline Amorim

UFC 287 will take place at the Miami-Dade Arena in Miami, Florida, on April 8.

The card is headlined by a massive rematch between long-time rivals Alex Pereira and Israel Adesanya who will fight for the middleweight title.

The card also features a welterweight bout between top ranked Gilbert Burns and Jorge Masvidal.
