Bartosz Wojcikiewicz returns to the win column – defeats Anthony Riggio after exciting bout

We just saw bantamweights Bartosz Wojcikiewicz and Anthony Riggio clash at Superior Challenge 24, at Annexet in Stockholm.

It was Bartosz Wojcikiewicz who won he fight via unanimous decision after a really exciting bout.

In the first round, Wojcikiewicz landed some heavy body kicks that seemed to hurt Riggio. The hometown fighter found success with his kicks to the body and head during the round.

The second round continued at the same high pace. Bartosz Wojcikiewicz landed more heavy kicks to the body but Riggio answered with hard and accurate punches in a tough and even round.

In the beginning of the third and final round, both fighters gave it all. After two minutes Wojcikiewicz took the fight to the mat and landed some knees during the last minutes.

 “I never give up, everyone knows how hard I train,“ Wojcikiewicz said during the post fight interview. “In this fight my plan was to take my time and be calculated. I never take any easy fights.”

This marked Bartosz Wojcikiewicz’ eight professional victory. The Swedish bantamweight is now back in the win column after suffering his first loss to Kenji Bortoluzzi at Superior Challenge 23 last year.
