Sevan Madenjian on return: “A threat that needs to be dealth with”

The co-main event of Wolf Fight Promotion (WFP) 8 will see the return of Allstars prospect Sevan Madenjian (1-0), who faces Tobias Söderberg (1-0) in a pivotal welterweight bout on September 30th.

Madenjian, a former representative of the Belgian National Team in Amateur MMA, made a successful pro debut at WFP 7 earlier this year, submitting Dane Rasmus Elehrs i the first round.

Not unlike his takes on previous outings, Madenjian takes a somewhat cold, clinical and impersonal approach in reviewing his past fights.

“After every fight we review the whole fight and look for improvements,” Madenjian tells frontkick.online.

Madenjian couldn’t find anything particular to take away from his pro debut, and didn’t see it as being very different from his previous amateur fights.

“I keep working on every aspect in the MMA game, no matter if there is a fight coming up or not.”

Linköpings Söderberg defeated Madenjians friend and training partner Tobias Wallberg in his pro debut in december of last year. While also being one of the most experienced amateurs in Sweden, Söderbergs pro debut could seemingly add a little extra fire to Madenjians preparation.

While well aware of the threat that someone as experienced as Söderberg presents, Madenjian refuses to let anything get personal.

“I respect every opponent in the same way, they are a threat that needs to be dealt with no matter the circumstances.”

When asked about what the fans should expect from his second pro fight, the message is simple: “They can come and find out!”
