Former featherweight champion Max Holloway brutally KO’d “Korean Zombie” into retirement in the third round of their featherweight main event bout at UFC Singapore.
With the massive win, “Blessed” broke a bunch of records in the promotion’s featherweight division:
Total fight time: Holloway’s 6:47:24 in UFC featherweight competition is most in the divisions history.
Wins: Holloway’s 20 wins in UFC featherweight competition are the most in the divisions history.
Knockouts: Holloway’s nine knockout victories in UFC featherweight competition are the most in the divisions history.
Significant strikes: Holloway’s 3,197 significant strikes in UFC competition are the most in the promotion’s history.
Max Holloway has defeated most of the top ten in the featherweight division, but is 0-3 against reigning champion Alexander Volkanovski.
However, even though a fourth fight is probably not going to happen at the moment, there are a few other interesting options for “Blessed”.
If No. 5 ranked Ilia Topuria will not fight for the title next, he is a possible next challenge for the former champion. The dangerous Topuria is undefeated with a record of 14-0, and rides a six-fight winning streak in the UFC.
Max “Blessed” Holloway could also face fellow striker Giga Chikadze next. The top 10 ranked Georgian featherweight also competed at UFC Singapore where he defeated Alex Caceres via a clear unanimous decision.
