Four fighters in PFL, including former UFC light heavyweight title contender Thiago Santos and UFC veteran Krzysztof Jotko, have recently failed drug tests. That’s according to a report from MMA Fighting.

Both former UFC fighters lost their PFL debuts in Las Vegas last month.

PFL heavyweights Rizvan Kuniev and Bruno Cappelozza, are also reported to have tested positive for banned substances.

What kind of substances were not disclosed at this point, nor the length of suspension each combatant will face. At the moment it’s still unclear what the promotion plan to do with four fighters pulled from the 2023 season.

Made his PFL debut after tough UFC run

Brazilian MMA fighter Thiago Santos had a rough time in the past few years, with one sole win in his last seven fights.

After back-to-back losses against Magomed Ankalaev and Jamahal Hill in the UFC, he left the promotion in 2022 to sign a multi-fight deal with the Professional Fighters League. The 39-year-old was scheduled to face Mohammad Fakhreddine on June 8 at a PFL 4 card in Atlanta.

Santos has a professional MMA record of 22-12, with 15 wins coming by way of knockout.
