OKTAGON MMA no longer has a flyweight champion as title holder Elias Garcia was stripped of the title. That’s according to a statement from OKTAGON’s Ondrej Novotny.

“Oktagon’s flyweight division no longer has a champion. Garcia has turned down our offer twice to fight, and as a result has been stripped of his title. We now have a very interesting replacement for Aaron Aby, and you can look forward to a great title fight very soon,” the statement read.

As the promotion mentioned in the statement, Aaron Aby will fight for the title next at OKTAGON 56 in Birmingham.

“As far as I am concerned, I am the champion. Garcia doesn’t want the fight, but he can run, but he can’t hide. Oktagon 56 in Birmingham, I’m winning the world title,” Aby told OKTAGON in February.
