Brazilian welterweight veteran Vicente Luque suffered a cerebral hemorrhage following his knockout loss to Geoff Neal in August, 2022. Luque was KO’d in the third round and given a minimum one-year suspension.

On Tuesday, Luque received a one-year license in Nevada to fight.

The Nevada Athletic Commission requires the Brazilian welterweight to submit clearance from both a neurologist and neurosurgeon – independent of each other – to be allowed to fight, as well as a new MRI of his brain.
