Swedish prospect Andreas “Bane” Gustafsson (8-1) is now set for his home field return as he will welcome Finnish finisher Toni Lampinen (8-4) at Fight Club Rush 16!
FCR officials announced the fight via social media, just days after that Gustafsson was booked for a co-main event fight with Joilton Lutterbach at Brave 70.
Gustafsson made a triumphant return to MMA late last year following a two year hiatus from the sport. He faced Pole Lukasz Dziudzia in the main event of FCR 14, winning via a brutal second round TKO. He followed that win up with another finish via strikes in the second round, this time over David Hosek in KSW. So far only one of Gustafssons wins has coem via decision, the loen decision win coming against Givago Francisco in 2019.
Finland’s Lampinen is a tough out for anyone and has built up a strong reputation in his home country, defeating notable Nordic fighters such as Patrik Pietilä, Aleksi Savolainen and most recently Joachim Tollefsen. Much like Gustafsson Lampinen has only needed the judges nod in one of his pro victories.
