This past Friday’s highly anticipated featherweight clash between Swedish prospect Alexander Lööf and his British equivalent Luke Riley turned into perhaps the best fight in the promotion’s history.
Many fans and experts, including Cage Warriors CEO Graham Boylan, praised the all-out war. The one who had the best view of the fight is the internationally acclaimed referee Marc Goddard, who called the action in the featherweight fight.
In a social media post, Goddard claimed that the back-and-forth fight was “THE best fight of the year,” before inviting his followers to watch it.
“If you didn’t catch this fight last night, do yourselves a favour and go and watch it. Please. Turn it up loud.”

Before his Cage Warriors debut, Alexander Lööf talked to Frontkick, promising to give it all in the cage.
“I will be one mean motherfucker, and if I lose everyone hates me anyways,” he said.
The Swedish featherweight really lived up to his words as he gave the undefeated Riley all kinds of trouble, and almost finished the fight in the second round, before eventually losing the fight via TKO in the third.
